Kootenai River Outfitters - Fly Shop

Located at the corner of Highways 2 & 56 Our shop is conveniently located for those traveling from any direction to the Kootenai or North West Montana. No matter where you may be headed, MT, BC, ID or elsewhere in the northern Rockies, we can cover your needs. We have the right fly and know what's going on in the area. Our shop is also the central meeting spot for clients and guides on their way to the river. Here are driving directions and maps to find us.

We stock all of the essential equipment that any one could need when coming to this area to fly fish.

Scott Rods, Bauer Reels, Line, Leader and Tippet from Rio, Loon Outdoor products, Dan Bailey waders and boots,
Clear Creek gear, as well as our own private line of Fleece, Shirts, Tees, and Hats.

We also have a large inventory of flies. All of the standards plus unique patterns from Montana Fly Company, Rainy's and plenty of locally tied "secrets" are available.

Stop in and check out the latest fishing report. Or just come by, enjoy the fire in the wood stove in the cooler weather, have a cup of coffee and help yourself to our tying desk. There's will always be a plentiful supply of anything you might need to tie some of your favorite flies. Just make sure to leave a fly or two if you have a secret pattern!
