Wildlife abounds here. Deer and Elk visit the ranch with regularity. In fact it is common to be greeted in the morning / evening to many grazing deer and the occasional elk. Moose, Grizzlies, Black Bear, Sheep, Goats, Wolves, Badgers, and Cougar are more elusive and tend to move into the higher country as the weather warms. |

| Bird lovers will enjoy many species that are seldom seen in other habitats in which they once thrived. Bald Eagles nest on the ranch. Roughed Grouse are plentiful. For several weeks each spring the woods resound with the thumping of the eager males trying to "out drum" each other in the hopes of attracting a mate. Also Hawks, Kingfishers, Merlins, Kestrels, and Pileated Woodpeckers, just to name a few. Of course waterfowl are also abundant. From the more common Geese and Mallards to Buffleheads, Coots, Goldeneyes, Canvasbacks, Mergansers and the occasional Loon. Bring your camera and a good set of binoculars! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
