Snowmobiling at KRO
There are several miles of trails / roads that are easily accessible from your front door when the snow levels permit. We are situated at the base of the Cabinets at roughly 2800 feet and do tend to get a fair amount of snow. But even when snow levels don't keep good cover on the Ranch you can almost be certain that just a few minutes up the road there will be several feet or more with regularity.
Jumping off the Ranch to forest service trails and roads is as easy as walking out your door when snow conditions permit. But even if the snow is light here great conditions are almost certain to be only a short drive away.
There are several shelters with picnic tables that are a great place for lunch, (as long as they are not buried under many feet of snow:) and a warming hut at the end of a trail up on a ridge overlooking the Ranch.
